Welcome to the on-line training for the Pigeon Guillemot Summer Survey. We have created five training videos that together cover the main aspects of the survey for beach volunteers. Before you view the videos, gather necessary materials to reference during the video i.e., printed Survey Protocol, Survey Data Sheet, Survey Data Sheet Directions, Prey Fish Identification Card, and for colony leads: the Colony Team Lead Responsibilities. Please view the videos in the order listed on the Training Videos page, as information in earlier videos is necessary to understand directions in later videos. As you view the videos make note of anything that is unclear and direct those questions to your survey coordinator. In addition, all new volunteers will receive on-the-beach training and orientation in which you will be assigned to your specific section of beach and burrows. Click below to go to the videos page.
